Hustlers

The Loft - September 12th, 2025

The vibrational tapping of keyboard keys and the slamming down of phones leads way to energetic disco beats and shimmering mirror ball lights.  From the boardroom to the darkroom.

On Friday night, inside a seductive Canal Street loft, HOLD NYC unveiled its SS26 collection Hustlers—an ode to the greedy glamour of 1980s Wall Street and the hedonism of Studio 54. Against the backdrop of political tension and rampant consumerism, the collection celebrated a spirit of optimism and playfulness from an era just before the crash.

Guests—ranging from industry insiders and iconic downtown creators to nightlife personalities and friends of the brand— mingled with models who embodied the collection’s ethos: a mingling of CEOs, hustlers, artists, and callboys that reimagined the eclectic crowd once found at Studio 54.

The clothing referenced classic American silhouettes rooted in vintage late-70s and early-80s New York. Tailored banker shirts, sweeping trench coats, and sharp double-breasted jackets were juxtaposed with flared denim, luxe silk cardigans, and barely-there shorts. Ringer sweaters layered over HOLD’s sleeveless Secretary Tie Top offered a witty clash of office formality and dance-floor ease.

Prints inspired by a photograph of Robin Williams in a Hawaiian shirt at Studio 54 appeared throughout the lineup, from oversized shorts and silk outerwear, to intricate beadwork on a wool crepe coat. The result: a wardrobe for the contemporary hustler—equally at home behind the trading desk or under the disco ball.

With Hustlers, HOLD NYC continues its mission of reimagining queer codes and classic menswear through a lens of cultural storytelling—paying homage to the past while crafting a vision of what it means to dress for pleasure and power today.
