For SS25, Hold NYC is still loving the rose-tinted view of the nineties, but wanted to soften it a bit and have it feel welcoming and pretty. Remembering his childhood, some of Holden Akerley's warmest memories were of sunny, spring afternoons outside. Being surrounded by flowers, the dull hum of New Radicals playing from inside the house, and neighbors coming by to chat, was the kind of optimistic nostalgia he wanted to project. Breezy fits like an oversized marsh coat, an open knit viscose sweater, and articulated summer wool twill pants give easiness, cargo detailed shirts and pants are a play on gardening codes, and sheer ripstop capris, midriff skimming tops, and loose silk lounge pants add a bit of sexiness. Hold NYC also played with technical silhouettes and details, in this case, a classic rainproof anorak is reimagined in sheer organza. In addition to the classic Jock Bag, this season done up in a sky blue leather, we are introducing the Pail Bag, a multi-use midsize leather bag with a mesh bottom and nylon gasket closure that is perfect for the beach or to bring home a bouquet of fresh cut flowers. We continue to explore the perfect wardrobe through coolness, ease, sexiness and a bit of cheek.
